A counter-application in the SABC copyright challenge of a commissioned documentary on alleged looting during SA's apartheid transition years has been filed in the South Gauteng High Court, says a Beeld report.
It notes the SABC sued producer Sylvia Vollenhoven for alleged copyright infringements relating to the documentary The Spear after she allegedly showed the documentary and refused to hand over originals to the public broadcaster. In her counter-application, Vollenhoven seeks an order declaring that the SABC is abusing intellectual property laws to sweep allegations of corruptions under the carpet. Full Beeld report
