* The Limpopo High Court (Polokwane) has sentenced a man to life for the murder of an elderly woman with an axe. Justice Mathume Tshehla was also sentenced to 15 years for robbery with a weapon other than a firearm, and eight years for housebreaking with intent to steal. Betty Phaswane Mosehla (81) was killed in her home in Vergelegen in September 2017.
